Red Lace Dress Worn By Sasha Cohen

Sasha Cohen is an American figure skater who won the silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympic games. She has also won three World Championship medals and can add the 2003 Grand Prix championships and the 2006 U.S. Championship. It was at the 2010 U.S. Championships that she wore this red lace dress.

She is renowned for her ability to interpret music and for her flexibility and ability to create unique lines with her body. But at the 2010 event, she finished in fourth place, didn't make the Olympic team, and eventually retired. As of 2022, she is the only individual American figure skater to medal at the Olympics.

Blue Rhinestones and Sequins Dress Worn By Katarina Witt

Known as one of the greatest singles ladies figure skaters in the history of the sport, Katarina Witt was pretty dominant. Of the 11 events she participated in, she won ten gold, and this includes two Olympic golds, one in 1984 and another in 1988.

This photo of her in this blue rhinestones and sequins dress was taken during one of her performances at this event. She retired from the sport after defending this championship but returned in 1994 for the Winter Olympics. There she earned the Goldene Kamera for her Robin Hood-themed performance. Yuna Kim is a legend in South Korea. This is thanks to her winning the Gold Medal in Freestyle at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She followed that up with another silver medal at the 2014 games. But it was before all of this that this photo was taken.

This picture of her was taken at the  ISU Grand Prix Friday in 2008. She was already showing her worth, winning the short program with a slick performance in that dress that has been described as resembling a stormy sea. She ended her career with a total of nine gold medals, six silver medals, and two bronze medals.

Red Butterfly Dress Worn By Carolina Kostner

Carolina Kostner is not related to Kevin Costner in any way (see, their last names are spelled differently). But she is an accomplished figure skater who is a five-time European Champion to go with the one World Championships gold she has and five other medals from that event to her name.

This photo was taken at the ISU Rostelecom Cup of Figure Skating 2013. While the dress is fairly simple, the real drawcard was the butterfly decal that just added so much personality to the outfit. She also won the bronze at the 2014 winter Olympics.

Green Long Sleeve Dress Worn By Peggy Fleming

Peggy Fleming is most famous for being the only American at the 1968 Olympic games to win a Gold medal. This championship was the culmination of a dominant period for her, as she also won the World championships three-time running from 1966 to her Olympic glory days.

After this achievement, she turned pro and even had her show called Peggy Fleming at Sun Valley, which aired in five parts. In it, she wore the green long sleeve dress in the picture and put on a memorable performance. She has also been working as a figure skating commentator since 1981

Even at her young age, Kseniia Sinitsina has built her reputation as a championship figure skater. In 2020 she won Olympic Gold in the team event and won silver at the Youth Olympics that same year and in 2019, the JGP Italy Championship. She also won silver in the Russian event of that same name.

She is renowned for her youthful exuberance and energy and has achieved a lot despite still discovering her true skating ability. She is also well known for the stylish dresses she wears like the one in the picture, with her looking ethereal and light in the Chiffon dress.

Purple Ballet Style Dress Worn By Evgenia Medvedeva

In 2021 Evgenia Medvedeva had to end her competitive skating career due to a chronic back injury. Yet, despite the relative shortness of her career, which started in 2013 as a junior, she made her mark on the sport. This mark includes two Olympic silver medals and two World Championships wins.

She also added two European Championships, two Russian Championships, and two Grand Prix Final wins to her record. She is known for her consistency and ability to pull off various transitions out of jumps. Medvedeva used both the "Tano" and the "Rippon" variation and can be seen using the latter in this picture in her purple ballet style dress.

Kristi Yamaguchi is one of the United States of America's most successful figure skaters. She was the Olympic Champion in 1992 and is also a two-time World champion and the 1992 U.S. champion. In winning her Olympic gold medal, she became the first Asian American to do this.

She was also an accomplished pairs skater and won the 1988 World Junior champion and a two-time national champion in that category. She is also an inductee into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame, and this is all thanks to performances like the one she had in this red dress.

Tessa Virtue and her partner Scott Moir became a pretty dominant pair in the ice dancing competition. Together they have won almost everything there is to win in the competition, including two Olympic gold medals, one Olympic silver, and three World Championship titles.

They also won gold in the team event and, with their three victories, became the most decorated team in ice skating history. This success comes from more than just practice, and their style also had a lot to do with it, and this photo proves it as Virtue opted for a car suit instead of the usual dress, setting her apart fro4m the competition.

They won the 2018 silver medal and have also been the world champions on four occasions. During the '50s, Carol Heiss was one of the most prolific and successful figure skaters in America. She had a long and consistent run of victories during this time. She won the Olympic silver medal at the 1956 games and went one better in 1960, winning the gold medal.

During this period, she was also the world champion five times, winning it every year from 1956 to 1960. She started an acting career after retiring from competitive figure skating, playing the lead role in the 1961 film "Snow White and the Three Stooges."

Gracie Gold Holds the distinction of being the only American woman to have won the  NHK Trophy. She did this in 2014, and that same year, she won bronze at the Olympic game while also winning the first of her two U.S. Championship titles. Before and after that year, she won two World Championship titles.

She also scored the highest competition score for an American, with a 76.43 at the 2016 World Championships. As far as young promising figure skaters go, Anna Shcherbakova is one of the best. In 2022 she became the Olympic Champion, following her becoming the 2021 World Champion. She also won the silver medal at the European championships in 2020 and 2022 and the Grand Prix final silver medal, among many others.

She holds the second-highest score for a female in a free skating competition, with 168.37 points. She also became the first senior female to land a  quad Lutz and the first to land one twice in one competition. Dorothy Hamill's is not in any way related to actor Mark Hammill. One year before the actor shot to fame as Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, Dorothy became the Olympic Champion in 1976. This is the same year she became the World Champion in the ladies' singles competition.

She had been making waves in the sport since before then and dominated the U.S. Championships from 1974 to 1976, winning it in those three years running. The following year she started a stint as the star of Ice Capades. This lasted until 1984. In 2017 she participated in the cooking show "Chopped."

Fresh-faced Russian figure skater Daria Usacheva has been coming to the fore since 2021. It was in that year that she achieved her best senior level result when she won the silver medal at the 2021 Skate America competition. Before she had all of her run-ins with the law, Nicole Bobek was a promising young figure skater. Included in her list of achievements is the title of U.S. Championship in 1995 and bronze medal winner at the World Championships in that same year. She was arrested in 1994 for first-degree home invasion but was released on probation. Bobek was also later arrested and charged for distributing drugs. She would later work on various professional skating shows, notably touring with Champions on Ice.

Alysa Liu is a young figure skater with so much waiting in her future and already so much success behind her. Born in 2005, in her short career, she has already won the 2021 CS Nebelhorn Trophy and the 2021 CS Lombardia Trophy. Add to that her two U.S. Championship titles, and you understand why this young prospect is turning heads.

She was also turning heads with her dresses and wore this one during her first Senior Grand Prix. This was in 2020, which was during the height of her success at the junior level. Some of her junior achievements include winning silver at the Junior Grand Prix Final.

Mirai Nagasu is a proud American figure skater who has been on her game since her junior debut in the sport. Some of her achievements include winning bronze at the 2018 Olympic Games team event and more bronze as the  JGP Final champion.

She is the youngest person since Tara Lipinsky in 1997 to be crowned U.S. senior ladies champion. Despite her youth, she continues to push boundaries and win titles. She also became the first American to land a triple axle at the Olympics. In 2022 she competed in "Celebrity Big Brother."

Being the team player that she is, Bradie Tennell was an integral part of the American figure skating team that won bronze at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She did even better at the CS Autumn Classic and CS Golden Spin of Zagreb, winning both events that year, and this was all topped with her winning her first U.S Championship.

Kamila Valieva rocked the figure skating arena with her exploits. The young skater saw fit to introduce herself in big ways, dropping record after record on her way to various titles. She has broken nine records in her short career, all in the short program, free skating, and total scores category.

Along the way, she also won a few titles. These include the 2022 European Championships as well as the Russian National Champion as well. In 2022 she won gold at the Winter Olympics in the team event but bombed out of the individual events after falling over during a performance.

Alexandra Trusova is another modern Russian figure skater who is a fine example of having excellent execution, as proven with her ability to land the quad Lutz, quad flip, and quad toe loop jumps. She is the first female to ever execute these moves in competition.

In 2022 she won the silver medal at the Winter Olympics. She wasn't impressed by the result and burst into tears, vowing never to return to the ice again. But if her exploits at the Russian Grand Prix are anything to go by, she'll be back if she's as resilient as the Wonder Woman she dressed as.

Sparkling Flower Themed Dress Worn By Mao Asada

Mao Asada is one of the most prolific and successful modern figure skaters. She also set a record when she landed three triple Axel jumps in one event at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The move was good enough to earn her a silver medal, which went with her World Championship and Four Continents gold medals.

While she won three World and Four Continents championships apiece, the only other thing he achieved at the Olympics was wearing this purple sparkling follower dress at the 2014 event. She is regarded as one of the greatest figure skaters of all time and has more ISU titles than any other female.

For Mariah Bell, skating was a bit of a family affair. Her sister, Morgan, once skated for "Disney On Ice," although Mariah would outdo her by a long way. She is the 2022 U.S. Champion and, in 2020, won the silver medal at the same event. Her success goes as far back as 2013 when she won the Bronze medal at the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Mexico.

She didn't fair as well at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She fell in her first event and eventually finished in 10th position. At least she won the U.S. Championships and has this dress to thank for her amazing look.

In 2013 Amber Glenn won a couple of bronze medals at the  ISU Junior Grand Prix events. This set her on her way to more success, and the following year she won the 2014 U.S. junior national title. Since becoming a senior competitor, she had won bronze at the  2019 CS U.S. Classic and Silver at the 2021 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb.

This led to the biggest achievement of her career, winning silver at the U.S. national championships in 2021. She is renowned for her beautiful dresses, and this purple diamante one is no different. She struggled at the 2022 U.S. Championships and didn't make the Olympic team.

Some girls have all the luck. Take Michelle Kwan, who had this dress made for her by none other than designer Vera Wang. This was for her trip to the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, where she won an Olympic silver medal. That year she would also win her second World Championship.

1998 also started an eight-year winning streak of winning the U.S. Championships. In total, she has nine U.S. Championship wins, to go with five World Championship wins. She and Vera Wang became such good friends that the designer also made her wedding dress. In 2022 Kwan had her first child.

She may not have made the Russian Winter Olympic team for 2022, but it doesn't mean Maya Khromykh has been an impressive performer. The young figure skater has won some major competitions in the sport, including the silver medal at the 2021 Gran Premio d'Italia and the Bronzed 2021 Rostelecom Cup.

She also won the 2021 CS Warsaw Cup and the 2021 Budapest Trophy. It was also in 2021 that she wore this dress while performing at the Russian Championships. Unfortunately, she didn't have a very good 2021-2022 season, which resulted in her being named as the second alternate for the Winter Olympics.

Alina Zagitova is a young Russian figure skater who has taken the sport by storm with her performances since going senior in 2016. Since 2018 she has been in dominant form, winning gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics and becoming the European champion that same year.

She also won the  2019 World championship. But she suffered a dip in form in the 2019-2020 season and eventually went on hiatus, citing a lack of motivation to compete. Choi Da-bin may have retired, but she gave the figure skating world a big go during her time in the sport. She is noted for winning the 2017 Asian Winter Games and has also won three silver and two bronze medals at the South Korean national championships.

She was a top 10 finisher at the 2018 Winter Olympics and also did the same at the 2017 European Championships. She also finished in the top 10 three times at the Four Continents Championships and twice at the World Junior Championships. Tonya Harding may have been involved in an attempt to... ahem... take out her competition, but she was still a pretty good figure skater. This ruined her career, and she was banned from skating for life by the United States Figure Skating Association. She tried her hand at boxing but quit after six fights. Regarded as one of the best figure skaters in Europe, Irina Slutskaya won nay on everything multiple times. That includes being a two-time World Champion and a seven-time European Champion. She is also a four-time Grand Prix Final champion and, to top it all off, she won a total of 17 titles on the Grand Prix event circuit.

She is renowned for her athletic ability. She also became the first woman to land a triple lutz-triple loop combo in competition. She pushed boundaries in other ways, too, taking the first chance she got after the ban on Jumpsuits was lifted to wear one herself.

Gabrielle Daleman is a Canadian skater who was an integral part of the Canadian figure skating team that took the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She hasn't done too badly as an individual competitor either, winning the Canadian Championships twice and also winning the silver medal at the 2017 Four Continents.

She also won the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships and represented Canada at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics. Renowned for her sultRy looks and smooth performance, she is also well known for pulling off almost any dress, including this deep blue number she wore at 2017 Worlds.

Bright Purple Dress Worn By Maé-Bérénice Méité

Maé-Bérénice Méité is a french skater who has been heavily involved in the various competitions for her country. She is a six-time National Champion and also won the Ondrej Nepela Memorial champion and the 2016 International Cup of Nice. She also won the silver medal at the 2015 Winter Universiade.

She has represented France at two Olympic games, 2014 and 2018, but after that, she was plagued by injury, and this curtailed her ambition for another shot a the Olympics. At least she had a memorable skate at the 2016 European Championships. This was where she wore this Bright Purple Dress.

 Aladdin Inspired Costumes Worn By Meryl Davis and Charlie White

Former Ice Dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White had a pretty decent run during their active career as competitive skaters. Their career highlights include 2010 Olympic silver medals, 2014 Olympic gold medals, two World Championship crowns, and five-time Grand Prix Final champion. That's besides their six U.S. National Champs wins.

They also managed to win bronze at the 2014 Winter Olympics in the team event. It was while helping in this category that they wore these Aladdin-themed outfits. Before they were roped in, the U.S. team was lingering in 7th place. With their help, they climbed up to 3rd.

Two-Tone Blue Dress Worn By Shizuka Arakawa

In Japan, Shizuka Arakawa is a pretty big deal. She is down in the History book as the first Japanese skater to win a gold medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics. She is also the second Japanese skater to get a medal at the event, and this success goes hand in hand with her 2004 World Championships win.
