Paul Rudd at 35
The American actor Paul Rudd was enjoying one of the best periods of his career at 35 years old. Fresh out of his breakthrough appearance in the sitcom "Friends," he joined the cast of one of the most important movies in his filmography: the comedy "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."
It was but the start of a series of notable film appearances that included features in the beloved 2005 comedies "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "The Baxter." Rudd was also 35 when he landed his first collaboration with the American director/producer Judd Apatow, which would land him a role in "Knocked Up."
Paul Rudd at 53
The years go by, but it's not like they do for Paul Rudd. The New Jersey native hardly aged a bit ever since he started landing major movie roles and is now a top-requested Hollywood professional. After starring in the TV series "The Shrink Next Door" alongside longtime collaborator Will Ferrell, Rudd went on to appear in two popular animation flicks: "The Bob's Burgers Movie" and "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers."
The future continues to look promising for one of the most charming comedy actors in the United States, as he's featured in the third season of Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building."
Brad Pitt at 35
Brad Pitt was a major Hollywood A-lister by the time he was 35 years old. A worldwide beauty symbol with a dreamy filmography, he had already starred in movies as acclaimed as "Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles," "Se7en," and "Twelve Monkeys." But it was only in 1999 that Pitt appeared alongside Edward Norton in "Fight Club," one of the most impactful productions of his career.
Pitt's personal life was going equally great at the time. In love with his former "Friends" co-star Jennifer Aniston (even though he appeared in just one episode), Pitt married for the first time in 2000. The two A-listers ended up divorcing in 2005.
Brad Pitt at 58
No, Brad Pitt is no longer the young hunk that once stunned Hollywood. But he aged like fine wine and continues to be one of cinema's ultimate charmers. Just like his looks, his career has also benefited from the passing of time. Pitt is now lucky to choose only the movies he's interested in, and he's made some great choices over the last few decades.
For his work in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," Pitt landed the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other notable features include movies as great as "Ocean's Eleven," "Babel," and "The Big Short." He's also a producer now.
Prince William at 35
William Arthur Philip Louis, or William, the Prince of Wales, was 35 years old in 2017 when he left his position at the East Anglian Air Ambulance to commit entirely to his Royal duties. It was an enormously symbolic decision for him. It was almost as if he was saying that he was finally ready to embrace his destiny.
At the time, William was already married to Catherine Middleton, with whom he exchanged vows in 2011. Fans of the Royal Family should also remember when a video of William's "dad dancing" in Switzerland was made public and went viral on the Internet.
Prince William at 40
A family man in his prime with the responsibility of carrying the Royal Family name on his back, Prince William became the Duke of Cornwall in 2022. It was a consequence of his father's accession to the throne, which was motivated by the tragic passing of the beloved Queen Elizabeth II.
Because William always found guidance in his grandmother, 2022 was a turning-point year for him. Now a 40-year-old man, he's expected to continue following the Royal-Family path even without the loving support of the world's longest-serving monarch. We hope he's as good of a mentor to his three young children, Princes George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Keanu Reeves at 35
At 35 years old, the Canadian actor Keanu Reeves was already a well-respected screen performer. But it was in 1999 that all changed for this Beirut-born Toronto native. With the hit action movie "The Matrix," he got the role of his life, which continues to define his career today.
Besides inspiring a generation of science-fiction fans and virtual effects buffs, "The Matrix" won several awards the following year. Reeves was involved in some, landing the MTV Movie Award for Best Male Performer and—with Laurence Fishburne—the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Fight. That same year (2000), he starred in Sam Raimi's "The Gift."
Keanu Reeves at 58
Decades after his timeless performance in "The Matrix," Keanu Reeves is one of the most beloved actors in the world. His seeming inability to get older has even inspired numerous fan-made memes and the online myth that the man who portrayed 'Neo' is probably a real-life vampire...
Jokes aside, Reeves continued to work on very interesting acting projects, which include, most notably, a few "The Matrix" sequels—such as 2021's "The Matrix Resurrections." He also starred in the "John Wick" action film series and "Cyberpunk 2077," one of the most awaited video games of the last decade. As a producer, he was involved in the making of the drama "Already Gone."
Meryl Streep at 35
The year was 1984. The acclaimed American actress Meryl Streep was considered one of the best female performers in the world, and rightfully so. Years before, in 1982, she landed the Academy Award for Best Actress for her striking portrayal of a Holocaust survivor in "Sophie's Choice." She had already received a Tony Award in the '70s.
At 35 years old, Streep was one year away from starring in "Out of Africa," perhaps one of the most important commercial successes of her career. At the time, she was mainly busy with the movie "Falling in Love," also starring Robert De Niro (her on-screen romantic partner) and Harvey Keitel.
Meryl Streep at 73
What else can be said about Meryl Streep? Almost unanimously considered to be the best actress of her generation, this New Jersey native continues to prove that she hasn't lost a bit of her skill over the years. In 2021, for instance, she portrayed an utterly hilarious (albeit tragic) version of the President of the United States in Adam McKay's hit movie "Don't Look Up."
Many things have happened since Streep was 35 years old, but her path has always remained the same. Notable features from this bonafide film diva include "The Hours," "Mamma Mia!," "The Devil Wears Prada," and "August: Osage County."

For one, she worked as a coach in "The Voice." Well, Clarkson continues to be a best-selling artist, with 11 top-ten singles and more than 54 million records sold. Even though she's mainly focused on her TV projects now, she released a Christmas album in 2021 titled "When Christmas Comes Around..." That same year, she divorced her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
Tom Cruise at 35
Interestingly enough, the American actor Tom Cruise didn't release a single movie in 1998, the year he turned 35 years old. At the time, he was considered a top-requested Hollywood performer, much due to his success in the late '80s with the award-winning epic "Born on the Fourth of July."
Cruise continued to climb the ladder of success in the early '90s, appearing in movies as acclaimed as "A Few Good Men," "Interview with the Vampire," and "Jerry Maguire." In 1998, he was presumably filming for the striking masterpieces "Eyes Wide Shut" (directed by the legendary Stanley Kubrick) and "Magnolia," both released in 1999.
Tom Cruise at 60
Still looking good and fit enough to embrace challenging roles in action flicks, Tom Cruise is a case study on how to get older with style. This perennial Hollywood A-lister continued to appear in excellent movies after the turn of the millennium, including "Vanilla Sky," "The Last Samurai," and even "Tropic Thunder," a comedy in which he portrayed the odd character of 'Les Grossman.'
In 2022, Cruise starred in the box-office hit "Top Gun: Maverick," returning to his classic role as 'Captain Pete Mitchell.' According to Box Office Mojo, his movies grossed more than $11 billion worldwide and $4 billion in North America.

Far from imagining what the future had in store for her, Markle was still best known for her work as an actress when she was 35 years old. She had appeared most notably in the TV series "Suits," but also made it into other projects, such as "Anti-Social" and "Dater's Handbook."
Meghan Markle at 41

The year 2017 was also the year Kate and William decided to move from Nottingham Cottage to a lavish Kensington Palace apartment that cost them more than $5 million to renovate. Kate Middleton at 40
Five years after moving into their Kensignton Palace residence, Catherine Middleton and Prince William decided it was time for another change. At the age of 40, Kate was also made Princess of Wales following the coronation of William's father, now known as King Charles III. She was also heavily involved in commemorating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee (sadly, Queen Elizabeth II's last), with tours in The Bahamas, Jamaica, and Belize.

The American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton is perhaps country music's biggest diva, and she's worked extremely hard to be worthy of that distinction. In 1981, Parton continued to top the charts with three country music number-one hits: namely, the songs "Old Flames Can't Hold a Candle to You," "9 to 5," and "Starting Over Again." She also worked on the movie "The Best Little W*house in Texas," later released in 1982.

The most surprising thing is that Parton continues to work hard in 2022. She released her first original record since 2020's "A Holly Dolly Christmas." It's titled "Run, Rose, Run" and features many beloved musicians such as Ben Haggard, The Isaacs, and Joe Nichols.

Thirty-five: is there a better age for an actor to experience the height of their career? In 2007, 35-year-old Cameron Diaz was not just one of Hollywood's ultimate bombshells but also the A-list option many casting agents counted on. Popularized by movies such as "In Her Shoes," "The Holiday," and "Gangs of New York," the California native was mainly busy portraying the animated character of 'Fiona' in the hit animation "Shrek the Third."
Considering how huge Diaz was in 2007, few people could have imagined that she would announce a shocking retirement in 2014, shortly after starring in "The Other Woman" and "Annie."
Cameron Diaz at 50

However, Cattrall had to wait for a good seven years after her 35th birthday before landing the role that would ultimately define her career: portraying 'Samantha Jones' in the HBO fan-favorite series "S** and the City." According to PopSugar, the series was culturally important because of its "fashion and food references" and "brand of postfeminism."
Kim Cattrall at 66
Many years after the ending of "S** and the City," the one-and-only Kim Cattrall is still sitting on top of the world. By the time she was 35, she had collected many magazine-cover appearances and married the Canadian entertainer Alan Hamel, her longtime husband.

But guess what? Cher's solo career in the '80s was arguably as successful as her '70s projects! In 1981, when she was 35 years old, she was in between releasing the records "Prisoner" (1979) and "I Paralyze."

She already was one of the best-known Latin Pop singers in the world (if not THE most notable) and was promoting her 2010 Spanish-language, chart-topping record "Sale el sol." Most importantly, though, she had just married the Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué, whom she has since divorced.
Born in Colombia, far from the big show-biz opportunities of Hollywood, Shakira was nonetheless capable of becoming one of the best-selling pop artists of the current century, with a reported 80 million records sold. Her international breakthrough came in 2001 with "Laundry Service."
Shakira at 45
Shakira celebrated her 45th birthday in 2022, a year that was both good and bad for her. It was bad because she divorced Gerard Piqué, with whom she shared a beautiful love story, and welcomed two children into the world. But it was good because she continued to release popular music, including the single "Te Felicito."
She also confirmed to be working on a new album, with a more electronic sound. Her latest record was released in 2017, which means Shakira fans cannot wait for new music to drop! It was titled "El Dorado" and included the singles "La Bicicleta," "Chantaje," and "Deja Vu."
